Overround Is Not the Same as Guaranteed Profit

Suppose customers place far more money on the home team than on the other outcomes. If the home team wins, the sportsbook’s payout may exceed the stakes collected on that event despite the 7.57% overround.

  • when prices were accepted;

A simple no-vig method divides each raw implied probability by the total implied probability.
